The BigPurplePhone Talk&Text edition does not have access to the Carers Website. But you can access these features by updating your device to SilverFox.

The Carer’s Website on a Big Purple Phone isn’t really a typical app you download — it’s actually a web-based portal (Carer’s Website) that you use on your own phone, tablet, or computer to manage the other person’s BigPurplePhone remotely.

Here’s a simple, step-by-step way to use it 👇


🔑 1. Log in to the Carer’s Website

  • Go to the Big Purple Phone Carer’s Website

  • Log in with the details you were given when the phone was set up

👉 Tip: You can add it to your home screen so it works like an app.


📱 2. What you can do in the Carer’s app

Once logged in, you can control almost everything on your loved one’s BigPurplePhone:

👥 Contacts & communication

  • Add or edit contacts

  • Upload photos for contacts (so they’re easy to recognise)

  • Video call them directly from the portal

⏰ Reminders & daily support

  • Set medication reminders

  • Add birthdays or appointments

  • Create alarms for daily routines

⚙️ Phone settings

  • Turn features on/off (camera, weather, apps, etc.)

  • Control what appears on the home screen

  • Enable safety features like Safe Callers List

📍 Safety & monitoring

  • Use Find My Phone to see location

  • Set emergency contacts

  • Manage SOS settings

🎵 Apps & entertainment

  • Add apps like YouTube, WhatsApp, Spotify

  • Choose music or radio stations


📲 3. Using the “Manage” button (on the phone)

  • On the Big Purple Phone itself, there may be a “Manage” button

  • This links directly to the same settings as the carer portal

  • Carers can hide this button if it confuses the user

  • You (carer) → use the portal to set things up

  • They (user) → just tap big buttons to call, message, or view photos
