How accurate is Find my Phone?

Location Accuracy

BigPurplePhone uses Google Maps to locate the handset. While generally accurate, its accuracy can be affected by several factors such as obstructions, weather, interference and the number of GPS satellites in view. If the handset can’t currently find any GPS satellites (such as due to it being inside concrete buildings or surrounded by trees), the location may indicate the previous known position which typically takes up to 30 minutes to refresh however this may be longer due to network connectivity issues.

Please note that we have no control over how the location data is handled or how the position is displayed and hence it should not be relied on in life threatening or other critical situations. The location map should be used as a guide only.
