What is the difference between BigPurplePhone SilverFox and Talk&Text Editions?

Both editions of the BigPurplePhone are designed for people with cognitive decline or impairment, experience low vision or are overwhelmed by the complexity of modern smart phones.

BigPurplePhone Talk&Text is a simplified mobile phone that allows the user to call or text using picture-driven contact list or large format dial pad. It also has other very basic phone features: SOS, camera, photo gallery, WiFi, Bluetooth and torch. You can also speak your message and your phone will type the text for you. Because it is a smartphone,  BigPurplePhone Talk&Text requires a small amount of data to operate – less than 5GB per month or a WiFi connection is required.

BigPurplePhone SilverFox Edition delivers everything the BigPurplePhone Talk&Text does as well as extra optional features:  a Web Browser, Radio Stations and a small selected number of third party Apps including Email, Facebook, Google Maps, MyGov, WhatsApp (see Features Table for full list of third party Apps)

Using our free BigPurplePhone SilverFox Carer's Portal, you can also video call and photo share with your Loved One. A Carer or the phone's user can manage the settings of the phone remotely, enable and disable features and add Contacts.

Please view our Features Table for a list of what Features are included with each phone.
